Mohammad A

My US immigration visa was refused because of forced conscription back in 2008. As a medical doctor, I was rendering medical services to the patients in different parts of Iran during my forced conscription.

Back in 2013, I was awarded an admission from George Mason University in Virginia for doing research on AIDS treatment which was focused on exosome and during this period as I was acting as a research assistant, the expenditures was born by the university.

In 2014, I had to go back to Iran, due to my sibling’s medical states. During the years I was undertaking the course of specialty, I was in a very close contact with the George Mason university, and send them a lot of papers and articles which were cited by almost 200 different researchers and eventually published in the university publications.

On 2017, I applied for immigration visas EB2/NIW, and my petition was approved on 2018. The George Mason university provided me with a good Job Offer along with a higher salary that I used to get, when I was doing the research there. On April 2019, I was interviewed in US Embassy in ABU-Dhabi along with my wife and two years old daughter, and I was told that the case is still under administrative processing, few years after, unfortunately I received the refusal due to my forced conscription.

I strongly believe that the decision made on my case is unfair and injustice. A doctor who has taken the OATH to commit himself to the responsibilities and obligation s of the medical profession, and committed to serve humanity, caring for sick, promoting health and alleviating pain and suffering and never had any military training should be considered as a member of IRGC

The time I was staying in the USA, I did not commit a single violation not even getting a traffic ticket , and proved that I could be a lawful resident.

I sincerely request you to review my case once more again , and I assure you That my presence in the USA is not only wouldn’t be a threat to the USA , but very beneficial to the American people , particularly patients who demand heath care.
