As an Iranian American woman practicing the Baha'i faith and holding US citizenship, my family and I encountered discrimination and persecution in Iran due to our religious beliefs. Seeking refuge, we fled to Turkey and eventually settled in America for safety and freedom. Despite legally marrying my spouse during this time, we remain separated because of his forced conscription in the IRGC. We are stuck in a dire situation, yearning for a resolution to reunite and live together as a family. However, current immigration policies solely based on our Iranian origin unjustly keep us apart. Our hopes and dreams are shattered, and our lives are in limbo, with no relief in sight. We earnestly appeal for understanding and assistance to reunite our family and alleviate the suffering endured by countless others in similar circumstances.
