Story of

Zahra L

I am a US Citizen who has been apart from my dad for the past 14 years. It has been three years since I applied for his green card, but due to his mandatory conscription in IRGC, 42 years ago, his immigrant US visa case is still under Administrative Processing. This is a rather devastating situation for us since my dad needs my physical and emotional support because of his age and medical condition. Department of State must make guidelines and waivers for embassies regarding the former IRGC conscripts and exempt them from a 212(a)(3)(b) designation. These people have no ties to IRGC and only have done their forced conscription in this organization many years ago even before IRGC became a terrorist organization.
